$30 adoptions through July 31st

CUYAHOGA COUNTY - The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter (CCAS) is offering reduced adoption fees through Wednesday, July 31st on all dogs due to high capacity. The shelter has partnered with Bissell Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters nationwide pet adoption event. The normal adoption fee of $95 has been dropped to only $30. In addition, the Bissell Pet Foundation will donate $50 to CCAS for every completed adoption.

Adoptions include spay/neuter services, vaccines, a 2024 dog license, microchipping, and a current rabies tag.

“Shelters are continuing to experience high intake levels, causing a significant strain on the animals,” said Animal Shelter Administrator Mindy Naticchioni. “We are currently out of kennels for new strays. If you’ve been considering bringing a fur baby into your home, the Empty the Shelters event provides a great opportunity to do so at a reduced cost.”

Due to the rise in the number of intakes over the past year, the shelter also has a critical need for temporary foster homes to allow space for incoming animals. If you are interested in fostering, please email the shelter at foster@cuyahogacounty.us or stop by during the shelter’s business hours.

Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Adoption is the best option! View available and lost pets.
