CLEVELAND — Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald announced his selection for chief administrator of the Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services today.

FitzGerald appointed Tracey Mason, currently Executive Director for University Settlement Inc., who has over 20 years of experience in the administration of health and human services programs and a strong history of building and maintaining community partnerships. Mason also held a series of leadership positions with The Free Clinic of Greater Cleveland.

Mason lives in Solon and is a graduate of the University of Akron. She holds a master’s degree in public administration from Cleveland State University.

The Division of Senior and Adult Services is responsible for providing adult protective services to vulnerable seniors and adults along with other in-home and community-based programs which allow seniors to live as independently as possible.

“Tracey is taking the helm of an important network of community services which assist seniors to live with independence and dignity,” FitzGerald said.  “Her strong orientation to developing community partnerships will help the county better serve those who need our help.”

Mason will start Oct. 3.
