CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – Cuyahoga County Board of Revision Administrator Shelley Davis today announced that she will be leaving her position effective January 13, 2020. Davis has served as Administrator for the Board of Revision since May 2012.

“Shelley has been a valuable and dedicated member of the County’s leadership team. Her guidance and contributions have been essential to the success of the Board of Revision,” said Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish. “I wish Shelley the very best in her future endeavors.”

Davis was instrumental in many Board of Revision improvement projects, including resolving a backlog of complaints from tax years 2010 and earlier by December 2012 and establishing time and attendance policies for staff and hearing officers.

Under Davis’ leadership, the Board of Revision instituted a Board of Revision document filing system, developed a certified mailing solution that reduces manhours and provides cost savings and implemented the practice of scanning all documents in real time, providing paperless hearings and full transparency internally and on the website.

Additionally, Davis sought the Department of Taxation’s approval to become the first county in Ohio to provide electronic BOR filings of the valuation complaints, which to date represents 74 percent of Cuyahoga County’s filings.
