Shawn Leininger Appointed as Executive Director of the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – The Cuyahoga County Planning Commission today announced the appointment of Shawn Leininger to the role of Executive Director of the Planning Commission. Most recently, Leininger served as the Director of Development and Public Service for the City of Fairview Park, Ohio where he led economic and community development program activities and policies, capital project planning and implementation, and infrastructure and facility maintenance operations.
Prior to his role as Director of Development and Public Service for the City of Fairview Park, Leininger served as Assistant Town Manager and Executive Director of Bluffton Public Development Corporation for the Town of Bluffton, South Carolina.
“The Cuyahoga County Planning Commission is pleased to announce the appointment of Shawn as Executive Director,” said Vice Chairperson of the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission, Sunny Simon. “Shawn brings nearly 20 years of professional planning and public administration experience to the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission. His leadership is focused on planning, organizing, and integrating the work of County Planning in support of regional partners, the county, and our communities.”
