The Citizens’ Advisory Council on Equity (CACE), consists of 17 community leaders who have worked to create meaningful, positive and impactful change throughout the Cuyahoga County Community.  The Cuyahoga County legislation declaring racism a public health crisis identifies specific areas.  These areas include:

  2. The criminal justice system
  3. Healthy food
  4. Safe and affordable housing
  5. Well-paying jobs and business ownership opportunity
  6. Quality transportation
  7. Educational opportunities
  8. Safe places to be active

The CACE established an internal structure of four sub-committees consistent with the County’s legislation. The Sub-committees are as follows:

Criminal Justice, led by India Pierce Lee, Senior Vice President, Program, Cleveland Foundation

Equitable Quality of Life, led by Randell McShepard, Vice President, Chief Talent Officer, RPM International Inc.

The CACE will provide a status progress report no later than December 31, 2020.
