First episode highlights creation of African American Civil Rights Trail

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – Cuyahoga County has launched a new monthly podcast called “Let’s Talk Cuyahoga”, which takes a deep dive into County initiatives and talks with the leaders and community partners who make them happen.

The first episode of “Let’s Talk Cuyahoga” focuses on the African American Civil Rights Trail, which will highlight 10 sites in Cleveland associated with the struggle for civil rights for African Americans between the years 1954-1976. The County has sponsored one of the markers, the Ludlow Community Association marker, which is expected to be unveiled in October of this year.

Special guests include Kathleen Crowther, President of the Cleveland Restoration Society, and Dr. Donna Whyte, scholar and lecturer at Cleveland State University.
