County Employees Encouraged to Experience the Benefits of Public Transit with Free GCRTA Day Pass

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – Cuyahoga County is proud to recognize February 5-11, 2023 as “Ohio Loves Transit Week”. The goal of this week is to highlight the people and systems that keep us moving, while looking at ways to improve and foster equitable transportation across our county and region.

In celebration, Cuyahoga County is providing all County employees with a free Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) one-day pass to encourage the use of public transit.

“There are so many benefits to public transportation—it enhances quality of life, and it’s critical infrastructure that millions of residents rely on for trips for every year,” said County Executive Chris Ronayne. “We’re encouraging everyone to use our public transit system and that starts with our own employees. Safe, convenient, and equitable transportation options are crucial to our economy and environment. I will continue to advocate for a strong transportation system that works for everyone.”

Day passes are valid until January 1, 2024 and must be used by the County employee and not given to another individual for use.

Those unfamiliar with local public transit and who wish to utilize the bus or rail system can get information on routes, rates and more at https://www.riderta.com/.
