CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – County Executive Chris Ronayne announced plans today to nominate Richard D. Manoloff to serve as the County’s next Law Director. The position must be approved by County Council.

Mr. Manoloff comes from Squire Patton Boggs, one of the top bond counsel firms in Ohio and nationally, where he has worked for more than 25 years. Throughout his career, he has represented public sector entities in financing matters, capital planning, public records, open meetings, contracts, property and income taxation, elections, and federal tax and securities laws, among other subjects.

While at Squire Patton Boggs, Mr. Manoloff negotiated agreements related to the expansion of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, served as bond counsel to the City of Cleveland on various infrastructure projects and has advised on State policy and drafted complex legislation.

Mr. Manoloff holds his Juris Doctor from Yale Law School and an undergrad degree from Princeton University. He has previously served as President of the Board of both the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (2016-17) and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation (2009-10).

“Rick has demonstrated leadership in the legal field and the community throughout his career,” said County Executive Chris Ronayne. “His familiarity with the public sector and depth of knowledge of contracts and financing make him uniquely prepared to serve as Law Director.”
