CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works, the village of Cuyahoga Heights, the city of Cleveland, and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) invite the public to provide comments regarding the repair and resurfacing of Grant Avenue.

The project will involve Grant Avenue (CR 283) from East 49th Street to East 71st Street and will include roadway resurfacing, pavement repairs, and curb and walk repairs. Where needed, the project also includes the installation of curb ramps that are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The project will occur within the existing right-of-way limits. Where Grant Avenue is 4 lanes wide in the vicinity of the I-77 interchange, two-way traffic will be maintained at all times. To accommodate construction where Grant Avenue is only two lanes wide, traffic will be restricted to one-way with detours for periods not to exceed 90 days. Detours utilizing East 71st Street will not be permitted when school is in session. Access to commercial properties along Grant Avenue will be maintained at all times during construction. Pedestrian detours will be provided as needed. Where possible, nighttime work will be utilized to limit disruptions to business and the traveling public. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in Spring 2024 and will last approximately five months.
