Leap Year discount applies to all dogs at the shelter over 29 days

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is offering $29 adoption fees on all dogs that have been at the shelter for longer than 29 days, in honor of leap year. The discount, which runs until Thursday, February 29th, reduces the regular fee of $95.

Adoptions include spay/neuter services, vaccines, a 2024 dog license, microchipping, and a current rabies tag.

Many dogs have been waiting for homes at the shelter, causing capacity constraints. The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is also seeking temporary foster homes to help create space for incoming animals.

“We are hopeful that the community will take the leap and fall in love with some of the fantastic dogs waiting for loving homes at the shelter," said Animal Shelter Administrator Mindy Naticchioni.

The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. Available pets can always be viewed online on the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter's website.
