CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH — Cuyahoga County taxpayers can now opt to receive their tax bills electronically, offering a more convenient and efficient way to manage payments. The update has been made in accordance with an agreement between the Treasurer’s Office and its payment processor, Point & Pay LLC. Recent changes to Ohio law give taxpayers the option to sign up to receive bills via email or text message.

“These new options will improve the customer experience while also lowering our costs and our impact on the environment,” said Cuyahoga County Treasurer Brad Cromes. “This is a part of our broader effort to modernize and streamline services for residents.”

Taxpayers who have used the County’s payment processor to make online payments in the past will receive an email this week with instructions for signing up for paperless bills. Those who haven’t can access step-by-step instructions for signing up for paperless bills on the County’s website.

The service is free and requires taxpayers to opt-in. Taxpayers who wish to continue receiving paper bills after signing up for the new program can opt-out at any time.

The Treasurer’s Office will transmit its first batch of paperless bills for the 2nd Half tax collection in mid-June. Taxes are due for the 2nd Half July 17, 2025.
