Posted on

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH— Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne today announced Levine Ross has been named the new Director for the Office of Homeless Services.

“Levine Ross understands that housing is the foundation for stability in health, employment, and education. Her experience, vision, and strong community relationships are exactly what we need to expand housing opportunities and break the cycle of homelessness,” said Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne. “I’m confident Levine will lead our Office of Homeless Services with compassion and drive results.”

Currently, Ross serves as the Senior Health and Human Services Policy Advisor to the Cuyahoga County Council. Previously, she worked for the Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services for ten years in various roles, including data analyst, senior training officer, and training officer supervisor. Additionally, Ross is an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Social Work at Cleveland State University.

The Office of Homeless Services collaborates with dozens of community organizations, shelters, and housing agencies to provide outreach, prevention, and support services throughout the County. Under Ross’ leadership, she will lead the County’s efforts to coordinate homeless prevention initiatives, emergency shelter operations, and housing support services for individuals and families in need.

“Everyone in Cuyahoga County deserves a safe place to call home,” said Levine Ross, nominee for Director of the Cuyahoga County Office of Homeless Services. “I’m committed to listening to those with lived experience and working with our community partners to create lasting solutions.”

Ross earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Cleveland State University, a Master of Criminal Justice Administration from Tiffin University, and a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Training Performance and Improvement from Capella University.

Ross will succeed Melissa Sirak, who left the position at the end of 2024. Her first day is September 8, 2025.
