CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH - Although the federal government entered a shutdown as of October 1, 2025, Cuyahoga County residents who depend on SNAP, Medicaid, childcare, and cash assistance will receive their October benefits. Our Health and Human Services (HHS) teams are providing the families that rely on these vital programs with the most up-to-date information, as they receive it, and are continuing normal staffing and office hours.

Important information to know:

  • October benefits for SNAP, Medicaid, childcare, and cash assistance are not affected by the U.S. government shutdown.
  • There will be no change to October benefits which will be issued on the normal load dates.
