Cuyahoga County Announces 2026 Reentry Awareness Month Activities

Woman wearing Reentry Week apron while slicing food on cutting board.CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH — In recognition of Reentry Awareness Monththe Cuyahoga County Office of Reentry will host a series of events in April to provide community resources and support to returning residents, helping them to overcome barriers to employment, housing and long-term stability. 

 

This year’s theme is Building Community, Creating Champions. Cuyahoga County is joining employers, residents, and service providers to build a more supportive and inclusive region in which all residents have an opportunity to create professional and personal victories.  

 

Through immersive experiences and educational programming, Reentry Awareness Month demonstrates how supporting returning residents strengthens public safety, expands the workforce, and benefits Cuyahoga County as a whole. 

 

Below is the full schedule of public events: 

 

Health & Wellness Resource Fair — Apr 1 | 12–4 PM 
Collinwood Rec Center, 16300 Lakeshore Blvd 
Screenings, financial wellness, yoga, chair massages, demos. Register. 

 

Community Legal Clinic — Apr 10 | 10 AM–1 PM 
Tri-C Metro Gym, 2900 Community College Ave 
Record sealing, expungement, warrants, license reinstatement, benefits. Register

 

Job Readiness Workshop — Apr 13 | 11 AM–2 PM 
Chambers Community Empowerment Center, 14305 Shaw Ave 
Resume, interviews, hiring panel, job fair prep. Register 

 

Culinary Showcase — Apr 14 | 2–4 PM 
Greater Cleveland Food Bank, 15500 S Waterloo Rd 
Live competition + hospitality resources. Register

 

Workforce Career Fair — Apr 16 | 11 AM–2 PM

Fines & Fees Summit — Apr 24 | 9 AM–1 PM

Financial barriers, policy + lived experience. Register 

 

Reentry Simulation (Legal Professionals ONLY)— Apr 27 | 1–3 PM 
Cleveland Metro Bar Association 1375 E. 9th St 
Real-world reentry experience+ CLEs Provided. Register
