Cuyahoga County, OH - Today, Cuyahoga County leaders joined the Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission (CCVSC) to celebrate the grand opening of its new 30,000-square-foot headquarters, a modernized facility designed to enhance services for Cuyahoga County veterans and their families. Through new construction and building improvements, the headquarters has been transformed into a space that better supports the growing needs of the veteran community.
“The Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission is excited for all this new facility will bring to our Veteran community,” said Executive Director Jon Reiss. “From parking to training space, this facility provides enhanced capability to serve those who've served. I couldn't be prouder of the work our team has done to make this dream a reality for Veterans.”
The new facility, located at 3950 Chester Avenue in Cleveland, offers improved parking, expanded training space, and a more functional environment for both public services and community engagement. The building will be used to better assist veterans through VA disability and pension claims support, financial assistance, benefits clinics, public board meetings, and additional programming that strengthens access to services and resources.
“Our new Veterans Service Commission Headquarters provides the dignified space our veterans deserve to access the services and assistance they have earned,” said Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne. “These men and women put their lives on the line to protect our freedom here at home, and we owe them a place that reflects our gratitude and commitment.”
CCVSC provides these services at no cost to veterans, including assistance from nationally and state-accredited Veteran Service Officers, financial assistance, memorial affairs, medical transportation, and connections to social services and benefits. The new headquarters allows the organization to serve veterans in a more professional, efficient, and veteran-centered setting.
