Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act)
On March 27, 2021, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) was signed into law. The $2.2 trillion relief bill included $215 million in direct aid for Cuyahoga County.
This funding was used for direct spending on coronavirus-related expenses to mitigate the impact of the pandemic and maintain County services. This relief bill helped stabilize the County during the height of the pandemic.
