Family Justice Center

If you are trying to live a life free of violence, please call or visit the Family Justice Center. The Family Justice Center assists individuals with complex cases of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and stalking. Many people feel overwhelmed when asking for help with these issues. A victim advocate can help you with protection orders, communication with the police or prosecutors, and access to counseling, among other supportive services.

The Family Justice Center is staffed by trained personnel from the following agencies:

  • Cuyahoga County Witness Victim Service Center
  • Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center
  • FrontLine Services
  • Cleveland Division of Police
  • Cuyahoga County Division of Children & Family Services
  • Ohio Crime Victim Justice Center

Additional operational partners include the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, City of Cleveland Prosecutor, and the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland.

All services are free and confidential, and no appointment is necessary. The client is empowered to select among the services he or she desires.

Our building is located on E. 12th street, just north of the Galleria.

If you need help filing a protection order, please arrive early in the day and bring a photo ID, and the name, date of birth and address of the person against whom you are filing.
