Pleasant Valley Road and connector ramps pavement removal, pipe and subbase installation and pavement placed for roadway widening.
Connector B embankment work completed.
Guardrail removal along existing roadway.
Temporary portable concrete barrier wall placed along phase line and north side.
Permanent seeding is done along north side slopes of roadway and erosion control.

Phase 2A: 30-day closure to complete 103/25, opening Pleasant Valley Road to two-way traffic.
North side connector ramps, and south site Fitzwater entrance ramp eastbound onto Alexander Road.
Canal Road closure 10/6-10/7/25 for cross frame hanging.
First bridge over Riverview Road south parapet wall formwork.
Second bridge over CVSR Phase 2 demolition in progress, sheeting, and piledriving.
Third bridge over Cuyahoga River Phase 2 demolition.
Lane striping for maintenance of traffic.

Work Completed:

First bridge over Riverview Road in Phase II beams placed.
Pavement removal between second bridge over Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad – Third bridge over Cuyahoga River.
Phase I completed asphalt and roadway milling.
Third bridge over Cuyahoga River north parapet wall poured.
Temporary portable concrete barrier wall placed along phase line and north side.
Linear grading, topsoil, and seeding done along north side slopes of roadway.

Upcoming Work:

Traffic will be switched onto roadway and bridges beginning on Friday 9/5/25 weather permitting. This new traffic pattern will remain eastbound traffic only and will include all four Alexander Road Connector Ramps to be closed leaving no access to or from Canal Road for 30 Days.
After 30 days, traffic will switch to two-way traffic while opening the 3 connector ramps as follows.
Connector A-Pleasant Valley Road westbound exit ramp to Canal Road.
Connector B-Canal Road ramp to enter westbound onto Pleasant Valley Road.
Connector C-Canal Road to enter eastbound onto Pleasant Valley Road.
After 30-day closure, Connector D (Pleasant Valley Road. eastbound exit ramp to Canal Road) will remain closed.

Please be advised by the end of summer we will have two-way traffic back on Pleasant Valley Road once we enter Phase II of the project.
