Project Overview:
Fall 2024- Installation of a new waterline (6,500 LF). (Phase I & II-5,200 LF)
Spring 2025: Phase III Waterline-1,200 LF & rehabilitation and resurfacing of roadway.
Current Work Zone:
- One-way traffic is being maintained in the northbound lane (Mohican to Lakeshore Blvd.).
- A southbound traffic detour has been posted.
Phase I Roadway Resurfacing (Mohican Ave.- west one half)
- Adjustment to grade roadway castings; Manholes, catch basins, water valves.
- Restoration and construction of concrete curbs, drive aprons and sidewalks.
- Construction of new ADA compliant curb ramps.

June 6, 2025
Fall 2024- Installation of a new waterline (6,500 LF). (Phase I & II-5,200 LF)
Spring 2025: Phase III Waterline-1,200 LF & rehabilitation and resurfacing of roadway.

- One-way traffic is being maintained in the northbound lane (Mohican to Lakeshore Blvd.).
- A southbound traffic detour has been posted.
Phase III waterline (Fuller Ave. to Lakeshore Ave.)
- All waterline work has been completed.
Phase I Roadway Resurfacing (Mohican Ave.- west one half)
- Complete removal of existing asphalt wearing course material.
- An inspection of the existing base pavement: asphalt partial depth and full depth concrete repairs identified and marked for repair/removal.
- Base pavement repairs-partial and full depth.
- After base repairs are completed base concrete to be cleaned and chip sealed followed by intermediate asphalt paving.
- Road castings will be adjusted to new grade elevation.
- Restoration of curbs, aprons, and sidewalks will also be carried out during this phase.

May 6, 2025

Phase III waterline (Fuller Ave. to Lakeshore Ave.)
- Installation of the new 8”/12 ductile waterline has been completed.
This segment of the main will undergo chlorination and testing before it is put into operation.
- After the chlorination of the new main in section 3, the contractor will commence excavation and set up new short side and long side service connections for residents and commercial properties.
Phase I Roadway Resurfacing (Mohican Ave.- west one half)
- Beginning on or about the week of May 12th.
- An inspection of the current base pavement will be conducted, followed by necessary partial and full depth repairs.
- Restoration of curbs, aprons, and sidewalks will also be carried out during this phase.

April 2, 2025

- Installation of 1,200 LF of new 8” ductile iron pipe watermain, including side street tie-ins, and long and short side service connections.
Phase I Roadway Resurfacing (Mohican Ave.- west one half)
- Beginning on or about the week of April 14th.
- Milling/removal of existing asphalt surface courses.
- Inspection of existing base pavement followed by partial and full depth repairs as needed.
- Curb, apron, and sidewalk restorations will also be addressed at this time.

March 25, 2024

- Installation of 1,200 LF of new 8”ductile iron pipe watermain, including side street tie-ins, and long and short side service connections.
Phase I Resurfacing (Mohican Ave.- west one half)
- Milling/removal of existing asphalt surface courses.
- Inspection, partial and full depth repairs as needed to exposed concrete base.
- Install chip and seal, followed by placement of intermediate asphalt course material.
- Road casting adjustments.
- Curb/apron repairs needed.
Road will be open to two-way traffic by the end of December. One-way traffic will be implemented in the spring between Lakeland Blvd. and Lakeshore Blvd. to perform the resurfacing portion of the project.

- Phase I Waterline (Shawnee Ave to Tyronne Ave):
- Completed: Installation of 2,350’ of new 12” ductile iron pipe watermain, including 8” side street tie-ins, long and short side service connections.
- Completed: Waterline concrete trench restorations.
- In Progress: Cleaning and re-striping the road to restore two-way traffic.
- Phase II Waterline (Tyronne Ave to Fuller Ave):
- Completed: Installation of 3,000’ of new 8” ductile iron pipe watermain, including 8” side street tie-ins.
- Completed: Installation of short side water service connections.
- In Progress: Continue installation of long side 1” & 2” waterline service connections. \
- In Progress: Removal of temporary bypass waterline system.
- In Progress: Restoration of trenches and pavement.
All waterline and concrete operations are anticipated to be finalized by late December, after which road will be restriped and detour signs and zone barrels will be taken down, allowing for the restoration of two-way traffic.
Work is set to continue in the Spring of 2025.

October 4, 2024
- Current Work Zone: One-way traffic is being maintained in the northbound direction (Mohican to Lakeshore Blvd). A detour for southbound traffic has been posted.
- Phase II construction for the new 8” ductile iron pipe watermain situated along the west side of E. 200th Street from Tyronne Ave. to Ball Ave, is underway-over the course of the next couple of weeks.
- Removal of the existing watermain and its subsequent replacement with 8” ductile iron piping, including removal/reinstallation tie-ins for side street connections at; Ormiston, Trebec, Monterey, Renwood, Arbor, Naumann E, Naumann W, Pasnow, Nicholas, Merideth, Tracy, Locherie, Newton Morris, Wilmore, Westport, and Ball.
- Maintenance of traffic and setting of and maintaining temporary bypass.
- Test and chlorinate newly installed 12” watermain (Phase I); Shawnee to Tyronne.
- Remove, re-tap and reconnect water service connections; (Phase I); Shawnee to Tyronne
- Trence and pavement restoration. Various locations.

- Phase I construction for the new ductile iron pipe watermain situated along the west side of E 200th Street from Shawnee Ave to Tyronne Ave, is underway - over the course of the next couple of weeks:
- Maintenance of traffic and setting of and maintaining temporary bypass.
- Removal of the existing watermain and its subsequent replacement with new 12" and 8" ductile iron piping, including removal/reinstallation tie-ins for side street connections at: Shawnee, Murnick, Kewanee, Killdeer, Cherokee, Arrowhead, Muskoka, Lindbergh, Mohawk, Pawnee, and Tyronne.
- Test and chlorinate the new watermain.
- Remove, re-tap and reconnect water service connections.
- Trench and pavement restorations.
August 1, 2024
Project Overview
- Fall 2024- Installation of a new waterline (6,500 LF).
- 2025- Rehabilitation and resurfacing of roadway.
Progress:
- Beginning on July 29, 2024, the first phase of construction will kick off on E. 200th Street stretching from Mohican Avenue to Lakeshore Boulevard.
- Over the next several weeks, the contractor will set up and install temporary watermain bypass on both the east and west sides of the road.
- Work will begin on the construction of the new ductile iron watermain along the west side of E. 200th Street (Mohican Avenue to Goller Avenue).
