Project Overview

  • Fall 2024- Installation of a new waterline (6,500 LF).
  • 2025- Rehabilitation and resurfacing of roadway.

Progress:

  • Current Work Zone: One-way traffic is being maintained in the northbound direction (Mohican to Lakeshore Blvd). A detour for southbound traffic has been posted.
  • Phase I construction for the new ductile iron pipe watermain situated along the west side of E 200th Street from Shawnee Ave to Tyronne Ave, is underway - over the course of the next couple of weeks:
  • Maintenance of traffic and setting of and maintaining temporary bypass.
  • Removal of the existing watermain and its subsequent replacement with new 12" and 8" ductile iron piping, including removal/reinstallation tie-ins for side street connections at: Shawnee, Murnick, Kewanee, Killdeer, Cherokee, Arrowhead, Muskoka, Lindbergh, Mohawk, Pawnee, and Tyronne.
  • Test and chlorinate the new watermain.
  • Remove, re-tap and reconnect water service connections.
  • Trench and pavement restorations.

Project Overview

  • Fall 2024- Installation of a new waterline (6,500 LF).
  • 2025- Rehabilitation and resurfacing of roadway.

Progress:

  • Beginning on July 29, 2024, the first phase of construction will kick off on E. 200th Street stretching from Mohican Avenue to Lakeshore Boulevard.
  • Over the next several weeks, the contractor will set up and install temporary watermain bypass on both the east and west sides of the road.
  • Work will begin on the construction of the new ductile iron watermain along the west side of E. 200th Street (Mohican Avenue to Goller Avenue).
