April 3, 2024

  • The general contractor has begun construction of the northern bridge abutment.
  • Contractors have also relocated their crane to the south side of the river to begin installation of steel piling for the new bridge pier and the southern abutment.

March 8, 2024

  • The general contractor has completed demolition of the bridge structure as well as the old bridge abutments and pier.
  • Excavating and preparing the area for installation of cast in place piles to support the new bridge.

January 30, 2024

  • The general contractor has installed a new 12” water main under the East Branch of Rocky River.
  • The Ruhlin Company will be preparing the area for road closure and demolition.
  • The bridge is to be closed February 12, 2024.
  • The southbound West 130th Street detour will be Route 82, right on Ridge Road, right on Boston Road back to W. 130th Street.
  • The northbound detour will be right on Boston Road, Left on Ridge Road, Left on Route 82 back to W. 130th Street.

December 6, 2023

  • The general contractor has begun work outside the bridge.
  • Beginning with installation of new 12” waterline that will go under the east branch of the Rocky River.
  • Bridge is to be closed February 2024 for demolition and rebuilding of West 130th Bridge.
