  • Message boards emplaced at the north and south ends of the bridge.
  • Trafftech erected and covered all detour signage.
  • Jacking and support structure foundation set up.
  • Concrete pour patching on east pier north and south faces.

Work Expected:

  • Maintenance of traffic Phase I set up and temporary striping.
  • Barrier wall emplacement above pier 5 in work zone.
  • Armstrong Steel to erect temporary support and jacking structure.
  • Night road closure for bridge jacking January 14, 2025 (NIGHT WORK).

Progress:

  • Contractor work area set up and staging
  • Saw cutting and chipping disintegrated sections of Pier 5.
  • Forming up removed disintegrated sections for patching remediation.

Current Work Zone:

  • Pier 5 saw cutting and chipping of disintegrated concrete.
  • Forming up removed disintegrated sections for patching remediation.
  • Replacing corroded reinforcing bars.
