We are committed to helping businesses flourish, as business growth adds new jobs to Cuyahoga County, helping more County residents earn the money they need to support their families. We are especially focused on supporting microenterprises, minority-owned and women-owned businesses as well as start-ups and early stage technology businesses.

The Cuyahoga County Accelerated Growth Program for Small Business Lending administered by Growth Opportunity Partners (Growth Opps), was created to identify, encourage and develop small to medium-sized businesses to further their realistic growth plans more efficiently and effectively and with less risk. Growth Opps administers the County loan proceeds of up to $2 million, which provides businesses with necessary capital to accelerate growth goals, technical assistance, and loans in a manner that is expected to best facilitate the borrowing businesses’ growth, job creation and market expansion activities.

Growth Opps, provides the highest quality advisory services, capital, and community development resources to its clients and the communities they serve. Growth Opps is a vigilant advocate for the creation and sustainability of quality jobs and supports businesses that have an interest in providing meaningful wage job opportunities in low- and moderate-income communities.

Growth Opps is proud to support founder Debbie Holzheimer and her company Metro Croissants with a $40,000 loan for permanent working capital that was funded through the Cuyahoga County Accelerated Growth Loan Fund. The loan was used to assist with moving and set up expenses as Debbie established her new commercial kitchen in Parma, Ohio.

Metro Croissants is a producer of handmade, plant-based, dairy-free pastries made in a vegan-only kitchen. Visit www.metrocroissants.com to see their variety of products and to place orders.

“Because of the financing from Growth Opportunity Partners and the Cuyahoga County Accelerated Growth Program, Metro Croissants has been able to move from a community kitchen of 400 sq. ft into our own 2,400 sq. ft production space. This has allowed us to increase sales by supplying more retail locations with our products. As a result, we expect a 25 percent increase in overall sales this year and anticipate having to increase staff to keep up with demand in 2020,” said Debbie Holzheimer, Owner of Metro Croissants.
