New platform. Same Co-Op.

We have migrated to a new platform, Solar Switch, for registrations, but the program is still run through our non-profit partner, Solar United Neighbors. The Cuyahoga County Solar Switch/Co-Op consists of county residents and small business owners who are interested in sustainable renewable energy. Members from more than 30 communities come together to share their experience and promote the use of solar and other practices.

Through group installation, Co-Op members have saved up to 20% on the cost of their system, plus existing federal tax credits.

How the co-op works:

  1. REGISTRATION: Sign up for FREE at SolarSwitch.com/CuyahogaCounty
(Note: You will not receive any sales calls, nor will your information be shared with third parties)
  2. INSTALLER AUCTION: Solar Switch organizes a reverse auction with qualified installers. The most competitive installer bid wins! The more people that register by July 10th, 2024, the greater the discount will be for the group.
  3. PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION: You will receive a recommendation based on your registration details including estimated costs, savings, return on investment, and expected electricity generation.
  4. YOU DECIDE: You have until September 12, 2024 to decide if you want to accept the winning installer’s offer. There is no obligation to accept. If you choose to accept an offer, you will be asked to pay a $150 deposit.  This deposit will be refunded if you later decide not to sign a solar installation contract.
  5. INSTALLATION: If you accept the winning installer’s offer, they will finalize the site assessment results, provide you with a contract, and set an installation date.
