Don’t Miss the Due Date – Property Taxes Must be Paid by February 20
Pay on time to avoid late fees
CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – The Cuyahoga County Treasurer’s Office reminds property owners that real estate taxes must be paid online, in-person, or via postmarked mail by February 20, 2025. Bills can be paid online using the County’s vendor Point & Pay.
To better serve taxpayers, the Cuyahoga County Treasurer’s Office will be:
- OPEN to the public on Saturday, February 15 to accommodate in-person payments from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- OPEN to the public on the due date of February 20 from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
“We understand that property tax bills are a big financial responsibility for homeowners, and we want to make the payment process as convenient and easy as possible,” said Cuyahoga County Treasurer Brad Cromes. “By offering multiple payment options, creating the Taxpayer Assistance Program, and conducting community outreach, our goal is to help people understand their tax bills, stay current on payments, and protect their homes and investments.”
Property tax bills can be viewed online on the Point & Pay website. To receive a physical copy of your tax bill, call the County Treasurer’s Office at 216-443-7400 (option 1). Property owners who are behind on their tax bills can learn about the County’s Delinquent Tax Payment Plan options.
Payment options are as follows:
In Person
Taxpayers can make payment by cash, check, money order, and credit or debit card (fees apply) at the Treasurer’s Office, located on the first floor of the County Administrative Headquarters at 2079 E. 9th Street in Downtown Cleveland. Taxpayers can also pay in person using check or money order via the drop box at the Treasurer’s Office and at all Cuyahoga County Auto Title and Key Bank locations.
By Mail
Taxpayers can pay by check, cashier’s check, or money order by detaching the bottom portion of their bills and sending them with payment care of Cuyahoga County Treasurer, 2079 East 9th St., Cleveland, OH 44115. Please include the parcel number on the check or money order for faster processing.
By Phone
Taxpayers can pay via phone with e-check (fee free), credit, or debit card (fees apply) at 1-877-738-1212.
Online
Taxpayers can pay online with e-check (fee free), credit, or debit card (fees apply).
Taxpayers are also encouraged to take advantage of EasyPay, a free and convenient service that allows taxpayers to make payments in monthly, semiannual, or yearly installments.
