2025 Office of Small Business
The Cuyahoga County Office of Small Business was honored with the 2025 Award of Excellence in Economic Development from the National Association of County Community and Economic Development (NACCED), recognizing the Office's innovative and nationally recognized concierge model for supporting entrepreneurs.
As the gateway to small business support in Cuyahoga County, the Office of Small Business delivers personalized Listening Sessions and curated Warm Introductions that connect entrepreneurs to capital, technical assistance, procurement opportunities, and trusted ecosystem partners. The model has become a benchmark for helping businesses start, grow, and scale while advancing economic opportunity throughout the region.
2023 STIMulus Grant Program
The Cuyahoga County STIMulus Grant Program was honored with the 2023 Award of Excellence in Economic Development from the National Association of County Community and Economic Development (NACCED), recognizing its innovative investment in small business growth and economic opportunity.
Designed to support businesses that successfully navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and were positioned for future growth, the program awarded competitive grants of up to $50,000 to qualifying small businesses with fewer than 50 employees. Through approximately $2 million in funding, the initiative helped entrepreneurs invest in growth, job creation, and long-term sustainability, transforming resilience into opportunity for small businesses across Cuyahoga County.
