Fair Housing

Cuyahoga County’s fair housing initiatives are designed to promote all areas in the County as welcoming places for our residents. Educational outreach is an important part of a successful Fair Housing Program, which is why the County conducts and sponsors workshops, training seminars, and conferences on fair housing topics.

The Department of Development contracts with the Heights Community Congress, and The Housing Research and Advocacy Center to provide the following services:

  • Discrimination Complaint
  • Insurance Audits
  • Landlord/Tenant Counseling
  • Monitors Lending and Local Real Estate Practices
  • Diversity Opportunity Purchases
  • Predatory Lending Prevention

For additional fair housing services, individuals can call United Way’s First Call for Help at 211.
