1 in 5 Cuyahoga County residents are age 65+.

In 2022, Cuyahoga County was officially recognized as an age-friendly community by the AARP and embarked upon Livable Cuyahoga, a five-year plan to make the County more livable for people of all ages. Now in its implementation phase, ‘Transportation’ is one of three focus areas of the Livable Cuyahoga Action Plan, an initiative of Cuyahoga County’s Health & Human Services’ Division of Senior & Adult Services (DSAS). Read about the implementation of the Livable Cuyahoga Action Plan, including a Senior Transportation Resource Fair and a CarFit event, in the Livable Cuyahoga 2025 Year in Review.
