Executive Ronayne wants to cultivate a diverse and resilient economic landscape in Cuyahoga County that benefits residents, businesses, and the overall prosperity of our community.  His initiatives include:

Office of Small Business

The Cuyahoga County Office of Small Business is a place for entrepreneurs and small business owners to go for support. The new office within the Department of Development offers personalized assistance and guidance to small business owners, ensuring they receive the support needed to navigate the business landscape seamlessly.

Cuyahoga Connects

Our vision for Cuyahoga County is to create a safe and convenient multi-modal system accessible to everyone, whether a person walks, bikes, drives, takes the bus, or hops on the train. The Ronayne Administration added a Senior Advisor for Transportation to help connect our communities to transit opportunities. Bike with a Mayor allows residents to explore their cities without a car and engage with city and county leaders.

Veterans Memorial Bridge

People are once again rediscovering one of the many hidden treasures in Cuyahoga County. Each summer, the County will open the bridge's underside so people can explore the 3,112-foot walkway and enjoy the unparalleled views of the industrial valley and Lake Erie. The Ronayne Administration is charting a plan for future permanent public access.

Animal Shelter Expansion

The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter broke ground on a 2,300-square-foot expansion project in 2023. The expansion will provide the shelter with more space for training and recreational space for dogs.
