The County encourages property owners to pay property taxes by February 19

Cuyahoga County, OH - The Cuyahoga County Treasurer’s Office is reminding property owners that real estate tax bills must be paid or postmarked by February 19, 2026. Payments that are received by March 2, 2026 will not be assessed a 10% late payment penalty.

All real estate tax bills have now been mailed or emailed to record owners. Taxpayers wishing to receive an additional copy of their physical tax bill can call the Treasurer’s Office at 216-443-7400 (option 1). Taxpayers can also view and pay their tax bills online on Point & Pay and on the County’s website.

“We want to make the property tax payment process as simple and convenient as possible,” said Cuyahoga County Treasurer Brad Cromes. “Taxpayers can take advantage of our many payment options, and those facing financial challenges should know that help is available through a variety of assistance programs.”

Taxpayers who are behind on their tax bills are encouraged to learn about the County’s Delinquent Tax Payment Plan options and contact the Treasurer’s Office to sign up for a payment plan as soon as possible.

To better serve taxpayers, the Treasurer’s Office will offer extended hours Tuesday - Thursday, February 17-19, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

County buildings will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026 in observance of the federal holiday.

Property tax payment options include:

For more information, please visit cuyahogacounty.gov/treasury, call 216-443-7400 Option 1, or email treascomment@cuyahogacounty.gov.

Important Notice, Taxpayers who choose to mail their property tax payments should be aware of recent updates to the United States Postal (USPS) postmark practices that may affect payment timeliness. Postmark dates reflect when mail is processed, not when dropped off in the mailbox. To ensure timely payment, residents should allow extra mailing time, request a hand-stamped postmark, or use an alternative payment method.
