Cuyahoga County Division of Building Standards
The Cuyahoga County Division of Building Standards was founded in 2025 with the mission of improving compliance with State of Ohio Board of Building Standards for both residential and commercial/non-residential construction within the County.

Register to conduct work in our partner communities.
Plan Reviews
Formal Building Standards plan review.
Permits
Permits for new construction, repairs, and alterations.
Inspections
Code enforcement and examination services.
Contractor registration will be completed through a secure online portal on this website. All other Building Standards services will be available in partner communities by January 1.
Cuyahoga County does not offer formal endorsement, evaluation, or recommendation of any contractors or construction services. We also do not deal with property maintenance or zoning. Please contact your local municipality for those issues.
