portrait of Samuel Sheehan

Samuel Sheehan

I was born in Lakewood and raised in Rocky River, Ohio. I attended all of the Rocky River city schools, including Rocky River High School. At RRHS, I played varsity baseball for three years and varsity golf all four years. I have always enjoyed sports, and I love going downtown to watch the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indians, and Browns in person.

I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in April with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. I plan to go for my Master’s Degree at the University of Cincinnati this fall. I chose the Criminal Justice Major because I want to make a difference by serving others and providing safety in my community.

While attending the University of Cincinnati, I completed internships with the Cincinnati Police Department, United Sates Federal Postal Inspectors, and the Warren County Drug Task Force. These internships provided me with the opportunity to work alongside local, state, and federal law enforcement. I accompanied and assisted police officers/federal agents on daily operations and investigations.

I am very excited to apply what I have learned in Criminal Justice, along with the experience I have gained from my internships, to the Cuyahoga Department of Public Safety and Justice Services team.
