Training Courses
Course Description
This unique 3-day course covers fundamental topics of forensic pathology, examination, photographing and documentation of death scenes; evidence recognition, preservation and collection; and decedent identification. Participants will enhance their knowledge by conducting investigations of dynamic mock scenes. The mock scenes are interactive and require participants to role play.Eligibility
This program provides basic training for Medicolegal Death Investigators, Coroners, Medical Examiners, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Paramedics/EMT, Physicians, Nurses, Attorneys, Forensic Scientists, Funeral Directors and Embalmers. Continuing Medical Education Credits
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint provider ship of MetroHealth Medical Center and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office. MetroHealth Medical Center is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.MetroHealth Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 21.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
CLE credits are available and pre-approved for 21.5 credits by the Ohio Supreme Court and sponsored by Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Course Description
This unique 5-day lecture series provides advanced knowledge in forensics, death investigations, and crime scene investigations, while allowing the opportunity to network with professionals from various agencies. Participants are exposed to multiple forensic disciplines and resources available to elevate their professional skills.

This program provides advanced training for Medicolegal Death Investigators, Coroners, Medical Examiners, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Paramedics/EMT, Physicians, Nurses, Attorneys, Forensic Scientists, Funeral Directors and Embalmers. Limited to 55 students.
