Conversion Therapy Ban
The Cuyahoga County Human Rights Commission (CCHRC) accepts, reviews, and hears complaints of conversion therapy on minors and vulnerable adults by licensed healthcare professionals within the County. This ordinance is codified in Chapter 1501 of the Cuyahoga County Code.
The ban applies to licensed healthcare professionals, including but not limited to:
- Psychologists
- Social Workers
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors
- Marriage and Family Therapists
Can I File a Complaint of Discrimination?
If you believe a healthcare professional has violated this ordinance, you may file a complaint with the Cuyahoga County Human Rights Commission.
